swine flu ohio state
Do conservatives really think a border fence or wall could keep a microscopic virus out?

…considering that the virus was likely carried by airplane or legal bordering crossings, how EXACTLY would a border fence or wall have stopped swine flu from coming to America or other countries?

Of the confirmed cases in the US, only 2 of the states are on the Mexican border (namely, Texas and California). The other cases are in New York, Ohio, and Kansas.

I hope that this doesn’t become yet another reason conservatives use to add to their hostility of Hispanics.

I think they want to stop all traffic in and out of the border. I keep asking about the billion barrels of oil that we are getting from Mexico every day and none of them seem to have a solution for that.

Swine flu is also up in Canada, so I guess we need to shut down that border, too.

Nobody seems to recall our prior experience with Swine Flu in 1976. My mother had to remind me about that one. Yes, it’s a different strain but we should have learned from our over reaction on that one. We killed more people with the vaccination!

EDIT: Ignoramous…you appear to miss my point. If you are supporting paranoia then you might as well jump in to the deep end. Thanks for the oil industry lesson. I grew up in West Texas with the stink of oil money.
