Life-span of swine flu virus on your hands or arms?
I would like to know how long swine flu virus can live on your hands or arms (for example if you touch a surface that has the virus on it and touch your arm then…)?
Influenza can survive outside a host for up to 24 hours.
If you suspect a surface has been contaminated with the influenza virus, you can spray it with lysol to destroy the virus.
If you suspect that you have the virus on your hands or arms, all you need to do to avoid infecting yourself is avoid touching your face, until you can wash your hands with soap and warm water. Once you wash your hands the virus will be gone.
