Swine flu question? Please answer as fully as possible.?

Over the past few days I have had severe headaches and been extremely hot in bed at night, I have a cough and sometimes a cold and I noticed when I came out the shower that I had a rash on my chest I have read about drugs which help fight it off but it has been over 48 hours after I have had my symptoms so apparantly the drugs wont work, should I contact a doctor? Will I die? Please is swine flu as serious as it seems?

Unless you have a pre-existing condition that predisposes you to flu complications, you are not at risk for dying. And if you had one of these conditions, you’d probably already know because your doctor would have told you. Tamiflu can still help with symptoms even after the window of opportunity has expired. This is the flu. It’s not the Black Plague. Remove the word “swine” from the name, okay? It’s treated much like any other type A flu.

Now….it’s the rash you have that could be a red flag and it concerns me and so I suggest you see your doctor as soon as you can get in. Mention the rash when you speak to the medical assistant at your doctor’s office.
