What would you think? Swine Flu Vaccine side effects?
My son and I got our swine flu vaccinations on Thursday evening at the Health Department. He got the flu mist nasal kind, and I got the injectable because I have a chronic medical condition. He was fine when we got home. The next day, he was somewhat hot, runny nose and sneezing out snot all day, and watery eyes. Today, still lowgrade fever 98.5, rectally, nose was stopped up, and when I unstopped it, then it started running again, more sneezing, and coughing. What the heck, he wasn’t sick before he got this vaccine, does he have the swine flu now? Instead of me helping the two of us out, did I hurt the both of us. Did I cause him to get the Swine flu by getting a vaccine. He had the live virus, I had the dead virus. I’m fine, except for my throat is feeling kind of scratchy, and somewhat of a headache. What is happening, are we getting the very thing, I tried to keep us from acquiring, or is this normal?
BTW: My son is 2 1/2 and autistic. So he can’t tell me how he feels.
The nasal mist can cause MILD cases but it’s so much better for his immune system to get this mild case through the vaccination that it is for him to catch full-blown swine flu.
It may not even be swine flu, with every flu vaccine you run the risk of having some of the symptoms without the actual flu as your immune system makes the anti-bodies it needs to fight off the real flu.
It’s nothing to worry about really.
If he has got swine flu it will be mild, more like a cold than the flu and as long as he’s fit and healthy otherwise he’ll be fine.
