If your child has had the flu or swine flu this year?

How long were they sick? My 2 year old has had a fever since Saturday. It has been hovering around 101-102.. This morning his temp is 103. I think he has the flu. The only other symptoms he has is a runny nose with clear snot and a cough. With the help of Motrin he gets up plays a little bit, eats and asks for plenty to drink. I do not think I am going to call the doctor because there is not much they can do for him at this point. I just wanted to know what the duration of the flu is. He had it in February for about a week. Thanks.
I called the pediatrican anyway and she is going to see him today at 10:30. She said that it most likely sounds like the flu (either strain) and since he is under the age of 5 he needs to be seen.

When I had it, I was down for a good week. My fever let up about 5 days into it though, but I still felt crappy for another couple of days.

Just keep watching him, because everyone I know who has had the flu this year (myself included) has had some other sort of infection along with it (sinus, ear, etc) and needed antibiotics.
