Do I have the Swine Flu?
I have had a flu shot, although it is not always successful, I want to rule out having the regular flu.
I have body aches, runny nose, congestion, coughing, headache, and a fever. All of these are symptoms of the swine flu, but also of a cold.
Is there any good way to find out what I have besides for visiting the doctor?
did you have a flu shot and an H1N1 shot? They are two different vaccines, H1N1 and seasonal influenza. If you have flu like symptoms you need to stay home for the next 7 days and try not to come into contact with anyone. Call your doctors office in the morning and find out if they want to have a test done, it takes a couple of days for the lab to come back with a result anyways. Some doctors are starting patients on tamiflu or relenza (both anti viral meds). However they don’t want to use them unless you really have H1N1. No way to tell without a lab test.
