6 year old sick with flu symptoms and I’m pregnant?
My 6 year olds symptoms
Thurs- sore throat
Fri- 102 temp, sore throat, leg and chest ache, slight cough
Sat-Sun- body ache, sore throat, slight cough
Sunday night- 102.3 temp, lost voice, slight cough, body ache, lower belly ache, diarrhea, red in face, body very warm
The doc office should be open tomorrow so I plan on calling her doc but I’m worried about her and my unborn child as well. Is it the flu and what should I look out for with her. She has been on children’s motrin since thursday and anytime her temp is above 102 I give her a cool not cold bath to get it down. Should I be worried?
she is a very small 6 year old at only 37lbs and I’m 9 weeks pregnant
yes you should be cuz it could be the h1n1 or swine flu. get her the upper respiratory immunization shot and get it yourself too. most people die from the infection in their lungs that follows the swine flu. with the vaccine you can prevent this. good luck. take vitamins EVERY day and break the vitamin in half, your body with waste the excess if taken as a whole pill. half a pill in the morning half at night
